The most anticipated and prominent announcement from Konami’s recent broadcast of their Silent Hill franchise has been Silent Hill 2, the remake of the PS2 classic that would later jump to other platforms, including Xbox or PC. The game is coming back from the hand of Bloober Team, authors of popular horror titles such as The Medium or Layers of Fear. Now, and with the launch of the official page for Silent Hill 2 on Steam, we know more details about the title featuring its minimum and recommended requirements for PC. They are not anything.

Silent Hill 2 Requirements on Steam

The site confirms that the game will come with both English and Japanese voices, as well as texts in Spanish. Additionally, it specifies a minimum requirement of an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 or greater and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 as recommended GPU, as well as an i7-8700K processor and 16 GB of RAM. Viewing the video without meeting these specifications can be difficult.

If you’re interested in playing Silent Hill 2 on PC, a minimum requirement of this game is Windows Vista or later, and at least a 1.0 GHz processor. We recommend upgrading your computer’s hardware to make sure that the game is played smoothly while maintaining a stable frame rate.

With no practical difference in graphics quality, it is striking how much more powerful hardware it takes to achieve 60 fps at 1080p. This suggests that achieving higher resolutions at higher framerates would require more intense graphics.

Of course, with compatible equipment it will be possible to achieve 4K resolution together with Nvidia DLSS technology . With respect to the PS5 version, yields and resolutions have yet to be specified. Silent Hill 2 does not currently have a release date.”
