One of The Best Nvidia RTX 4000 Series

The new generation of NVIDIA RTX 4000 graphics cards has hit the market. We are talking specifically about the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 and 4080 (12 and 16 GB versions), which will become the delight of the most demanding gamers. So, if you want to know them in-depth, don’t lose details of what we will tell you.

To give you an idea of the potential of these new Nvidia 4000-series GPUs, we’ve looked at how their performance compares to older models like the RTX 3000-series cards or even the 2000-series cards, which are still out there. Widely used today, and how much faster/better these new models are.

If you don’t have the budget for one of the new Nvidia 4000 series but still want to buy a perfect graphics card at Cash Converters, we have good news for you. And we have an extensive catalog of second-hand graphics cards at much lower prices than if they were completely new. Not surprisingly, the resistance of the components of this type of hardware makes buying them second-hand an exciting alternative.

But let’s not beat around the bush. If you’re interested in what the next generation of NVIDIA 4000 series graphics cards will bring, this article has the information you’re looking for.

Nvidia 4000 series: Release Date

On September 20, NVIDIA announced the launch of its latest graphics cards for October 12. The only catch is that of all the models we know of, they have only revealed the features of the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080. The best performance processor is Ryzen 7000 Processors.

What’s new this year is that they have revealed that there will be two models of the Nvidia RTX 4090, one with 16GB of video memory and one with only 12GB, which means that performance could differ significantly between each version, although at the moment no further details on the difference. In short, we are sure that the 4090 model will become one of the best graphics cards for gaming, rendering, and mining when released.

And when will the rest of the models come out? The truth is, we don’t know for sure, as it should be noted that according to industry analysts, NVIDIA could be taking a slower approach with the launch of its RTX 4000 series to try to sell the excess stock of its RTX 3000 GPUs.

In fact, by 2024, they believe they will have an even more robust future card known as Ampere Next, which will supposedly lead to their 5000 series.

Nvidia 4000 series: Price

Falling interest in cryptocurrency mining and improving chip shortages don’t seem to translate into better prices for future graphics cards. Rather than lower costs, NVIDIA is taking an expensive approach with higher prices on its products that will likely remain inflated even after the shortage ends!

Approximate prices of the Nvidia 4000 series:

  • RTX 4060: €5,330 (not confirmed)
  • RTX 4070: €700 (not confirmed)
  • RTX 4080 12GB: €1,199
  • RTX 4080 16GB: €1,499
  • RTX 4090: €1,999

This is just one more reason to change to a more sustainable approach to consumption, a process like the one we transmit at Cash Converters, betting on second-hand products at a much lower price.

Why are these prices in the Nvidia 4000 Series?

The Nvidia 4000 series are truly remarkable cards, with performance approaching, if not exceeding, that of the RTX 3000 series. So it’s no surprise that there has been a 50% price increase over some . of last year’s models, especially since these new GPUs will only have room for one more year before Turing launches (if all goes well). However, in that timeframe, we can expect serious competition from AMD, which already has promising new hardware on the hood.

What’s the point of all this? We don’t know, but multiple leaks have suggested that NVIDIA is doing everything possible to sell off its new card and wipe out the 3000 series stock. They’ve even tried to roll back their investment in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company ( TSMC) to reduce the supply of RTX 4000 chips.

Nvidia 4000 series: Specifications

With the Ada Lovelace microarchitecture, NVIDIA has increased performance and reduced power consumption by leveraging TSMC’s 4N process. These improvements translate into higher performance and lower temperatures than previous generations, such as Ampere or Turing.

Although we compared Nvidia graphics a while ago, we will show you a table of specifications of the Nvidia RTX 4000 series (versus the RTX 3090). The only thing you must remember is that the data about the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 are based on leaks due to the lack of official information.

Nvidia 4000 series: Top models

The time has come to dive into each of the Nvidia 4000 series models. Pay attention and don’t miss out on the analysis that Cash Converters specialists have carried out on the molds based on what we already know about them.

RTX 4090Ti

The only thing we know about the true NVIDIA flagship is that it has 12,432 CUDA cores and 48 GB of next-generation 24 Gbps GDDR6 graphics memory. This lousy boy nicknamed “The Beast” comes with over a terabyte of bandwidth, which is even more power than last year’s TITAN Xp offered.

RTX 4090

The main feature of the GeForce RTX 4090 is 16384 CUDA cores, compared to 10496 in the RTX 3090. That’s a 50% increase in total hearts and a clock speed increase of up to 2520MHz! That’s exactly what this card had over its predecessor, with 100W more power consumption, suggesting that Nvidia’s engineers were very confident in what they were doing when designing this new model.

RTX4080

As we mentioned at the beginning of our article, the Nvidia RTX 4080 has two versions.

The first of the two models have 16GB of VRAM, which is 4GB more than the 12GB of the alternative version. This, which may not mean much a priori, is not good news since the 12 GB GPU is a cut-down version of the 16 GB RTX 4080. This means 21% fewer CUDA cores, a memory interface of fewer than 192 bits, and a power of 285 W instead of 320 W, as in the previous model.

This means that if we analyze the RTX 4080 12GB performance, we will see that it will hardly be able to keep up with the RTX 3090 Ti in the most demanding titles, especially with old games or even with new games that do not support DLSS.

RTX4070

The RTX 4070 will undoubtedly be the star graphics of this generation and the most sought-after by gamers. With its 12 GB of 21 Gbps, GDDR6X VRAM would be very close in performance to the RTX 3090 Ti and even the 12 GB RTX 4080

What we are talking about is its performance is an estimate based on its characteristics, especially if we consider its supposed maximum boost of 2800 MHz and a boost clock of 2610 MHz, which is higher than the clock speeds of the 4090.
